Innovative control technology and well-thought-out design
The heart of the system is a closed current control loop that continuously monitors and stabilizes the output current. This ensures consistent and reliable performance of the brake or clutch, even if its characteristics change over time due to wear. In addition, the innovative anti-remanence function eliminates any residual magnetism. This enables precise torque even at very low tensile forces and guarantees uniform material tension.
For easy integration, the Leo current controller is designed for space-saving mounting on a DIN rail. Calibration and operation are performed effortlessly via an intuitive user interface with only three buttons.
The controller is extremely flexible in use:
- In closed-loop operation, it works perfectly with higher-level web tension controllers such as T-One, T-Two, or a PLC.
- In open-loop operation, it can also operate independently and control web tension based on signals from ultrasonic sensors (for detecting winding diameter) or potentiometers.
- In systems with dancer rollers and potentiometers, Leo provides stable and fast-responding PD control for optimal tension control.
The result is a more efficient production line with less material waste, consistent product quality, and increased productivity that meets the high requirements of modern manufacturing processes.
